China launches Asia's deepest offshore drilling rig

Haiji n°1 [sea ​​base 1] is China's first self-developed offshore oil and gas drilling platform. It is also the deepest in Asia. It is located in the South China Sea, in deep water.

A success for Chinese development capabilities

Haiji n°1 is strong at 286 meters deep in the sea, with a total height of 340,5 meters and a weight of more than 40 000 tons.
