Try our solutions CPPCC Environmental Working Group There are two assemblies in China, the National People's Congress and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CCPPC). This second strong institution of more than 2500 members represent different groups from Chinese society, “co-opted” in the interests of the Party. Still, this conference plays an important role in the proposal and development of certain public policies relating to major societal issues., such as the environment. Like all meetings, it is divided into a working group and a commission. The 18 January 2023, a new groupe was created at CPPCC, dedicated to the environment. He understands 85 members from scientific and technical backgrounds. The objective is to support political decision-makers in their development of public policies aimed at energy transition and environmental protection.. The composition of the group is interesting : 40% of the members of the group are from administrations or organizations linked to the environment, 30% are renowned scientists who are experts in geology or meteorology, for example, and more than 20% world energy, including nuclear. If the group has not yet given a specific agenda on the next deadlines or proposed policies, it should nevertheless contribute to the reflections. This content is for subscribers only.
